Hey there friends and family! 

I am participating in a CBM mission event going to the Philippines in May-July 2019!

Through my participation, I will help CBM to raise awareness and critical funds to help people in need around the world. For more information about CBM and its important work, please visit their website at www.cbmin.org. 

I am so excited for this opportunity to learn and grow as I have a chance to experience what ministry looks like on the field in the Philippines, how God is already at work there, and how I can partner with him. Most importantly, I believe that this will be a life-changing global discipleship experience for me. As a significant person in my life, I am inviting you to be part of it.  I need your support to make this a reality.  

Here is a little quick snapshot of what this trip will look like, we will "live and serve alongside local churches in the Philippines in a variety of places, including: hospitals, seminaries and schools, agricultural projects, business initiatives and much more. We will learn from and reflect on the experiences with CBM Field Staff Michael and Melanie Waddell."

Since I was a kid, I can remember listening to stories of people in my church hearing God's call to serve in the nations and then going. This sparked an interest for me and from then on I wanted to go to some of the same countries I had hear about and serve. As I continued to grow (in age and in Christ), I was given many opportunities to serve God in my neighbourhood (meaning Atlantic Canada)  and see how He wants to work in lives. The more I served, the more I wanted to see God and experience him, and I knew that the Bible told me that we were to go into all the nations so I was just waiting for God to open an opportunity for just that. When that door open, I was hooked and haven't looked back as I fell in love with serving God in the nations and seeing more of His heart as I interact with the people He has created. God has opened the door for me to serve more here at home, in New York City, Haiti, Kenya, Australia, Uganda, and Myanmar. And I have a feeling this is only the beginning.... SO the Philippines is my next step as I continue to hear from God where and how He wants me to glorify and serve him. I'm excited to gain more experience in what it's like to serve on the frontline in a nation for more than just 2-3 weeks. I'm excited to grow and be challenged as I strive to know Him and make Him known.
